down...

Ok don't judge me, just because he is Jay Sean and he looks like your average Brit-Asian dude...hey...he made it in America, is signed to Cash Money records and working with Sean Paul, Lil' Wayne and Kevin Rudolph AND he has a hot body!

This rendition of 'Down' is amazing. My heart melted as I heard it on a late night drive home, and I thought, "Damn, I wish I had a man sing like that to me" (Or even Jay himself, that would be awesome).

"So baby don't worry,
You are my only,
No need to worry,
Even if the sky is falling down..."

And even if it wasn't sung by him, I am a classic romantic...the lyrics are beautiful. But yes I am giving him props, just because it's him ;)

Italian...really...

I just came back from Italy and realised my calling, where I feel most comfortable and where I need to be...

Roma, Italia!

The baking heat, the 'out of bed look' was that much more stylish (probably because of all the designer items that made up the look), tanned skins and cute little side street restaurants on cobbled roads serving the freshest ingredients and secret family recipes moved through the generations.

I found out that I was eating (and loving it) foods that I would never eat here in London - probably because they are less freshly available and also because my family members' faces would show horror and shock. I can visualise it. Me eating mini octopus, proscuitto and Buffalo mozarella, mortadella wrapped around sausages in a wine-infused Pomodorino tomato sauce...mmm....
Ok I did eat stuff they would like, like Tiramisu! Beautiful.

And the fashion, oooh the fashion. It was all designer. Nothing high street. I felt like I was in a movie. I was like, I dont see all these names this close to each other on Bond Street. Couture is such a way of life: not just clothing i.e. Gucci, Prada, LV, you know the drill...but shoes! Sergio Rossi, and my new favourite: Guiseppe Zanotti. A little treat wouldn't hurt (when in Rome, do as the Romans do!). And when I arrived back in London, I found out that those shoes were the main feature in a hot new music video: Jeremiah's Birthday S**.

I know...
I really am Italian now :)

lusting Chuck Bass from GG

He looks good: clean, structured and has that 'I know you want me' look in his eyes! ;)

He is very good with his women...
He is suave and sophisticated...He is of a certain up-bringing and heritage, and not afraid to dress the part.
Ooh men in suits, men in suits....(that fit)...and they carry it off so well
They look professional and successful, and we all want someone who has ambition...

They look like they know what the want and how to get it.

You know he is a bad boy...passionate, but is still a gentleman...

toxic...I'm slipping under... :)

OMG - Britney's concert was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I don't care what people say about her: that she was miming, she's not the same as she used to be, she didn't perform her most famous songs.

Excuse me, if you have had 2 children, under the media press 25hrs a day every day, and have had problems with marriage and weight...would you be up on stage for 2 hours non-stop?? Probably not.

And yes, the circus theme worked. I myself would not give the circus a special visit, but this theme worked for her - magic tricks, constant performances between her acts, and some 'ooh so tight' torsos belonging to her male back up dancers...(oohh) ;)

Ciara, Britney's supporting act can definitely wow a crowd - I thought this stunt was facilitated with invisible strings of sorts in the video...but clearly she got strong quads!

It's good to have good-looking Britney fans with you :)

moodboarding part1

I found this and absolutely LOVED the concept of Polyvore - styling with everything at your fingertips, without actually purchasing any of it. Creativity at a forte! :)

striking a pose

I have been modelling for the past four years, but for some reason I never seem to have that little extra 'oomph'. I have seen girls and guys start after me and have already soared through their careers.

Maybe 'my time' is different...I don't know, but I have always been told 'you don't have the height/ you don't have the right look'. But then amongst friend and family circles I seem to get the 'oh you should be a model' comment and sometimes too much attention that I need to shy away.
So where is the middle ground? Someone tell me what my look 'should be', not that I want to be pin-pointed and boxed, I just want to know so I can work on my look with constructive criticism.

Well these are from shoots this year...my portfolio is shaping up slowly. I do hope to expand it so it does not only involve British Asian style shoots, because living in Zambia has made me more invidividualised and westernised. See my Model Mayhem page for more pictures and jobs.
Hope you like :)
